About This Game Get ready to go on the adventure of a LifetimeThe Last Train is a Survival Adventure Game where you take the role of one of the last surviving train pilot in a post world War 2 America. The game is set in Alternate History, post the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. In this emotional journey, the story explores how war affects ordinary citizens who want to go about their day to day lives, not just the brave soldiers who fight on the front lines. As a train pilot you are tasked to go around the country to help as many people as you can. Will you help the remaining survivors reach their families, help the terminally ill or will you be greedy and make the most out of the dire situation by hoarding all the supplies you get from them? All the decisions that you take will shape the story and affect the world around you.Team Smash Game Studios would like to thank each and every one of our supporters on Indiegogo who put their faith in us and believed we could deliver this game. Just began playing it and really enjoying it so far!. I don't understand where people are getting this "Story Line" from? There is none, other than "the world blew up, now ferry people around aimlessly"?! Nothing else ever happened after 34minutes of play. I traveled across the US breaking windows and eating rotten food and beer? I don't get it. Refunded.. This game is amazing.Update: It's been a month since I played this game. I probably didn't really plan on playing this game ever again except I saw that there was an update for this game. I'm going to say that the update was for the worse. One major implementation in the update was that it made it so that plenty of major cities in America had been effected by nuclear attacks. When I had first played this game I had liked to make believe some role playing elements where I was a train conductor who was able to avoid the WW2 draft and so was able to pick and choose who I wanted to pick up as my passengers to deliver them to their destinations across the country. The new update makes it blatantly clear now that America was attacked in nuclear war and it's an element that I think the developers could've worked around or done without. Maybe instead of needing a hazmat suit to explore nuclear areas, you could've just gotten hiking boots to walk around in the woods. I still like the game but the new update was for the worse rather than the better. But lets do some pros and cons for this game.Cons:-You need a screw driver to open up a trash can-The coal payments are too low. I'd love it if there was at least 1 person in every city where they would pay you 2 coal but they'd be further away.-The new minigames in the latest update are tedious at worst and useless at best. I noticed no difference when I would get them right versus when I would get them wrong.-There's currently a glitch where once you upgrade your train, there's an invisble carriage on the Western Pacific train model.Pros:-Lots of mini stories from people who you don't really get to know but you get a glimpse into their lives momentarily.-I picked up one random passenger and they gave me malaria.Improvements I'd like to see:-I'd love it if there were recurring passengers or characters.-A merchant where you can trade items with them. The merchant doesn't even have to be in every city. They could move around or mention in a passing piece of dialogue they're going to so and so and if you take too long to get there, they could've already moved on.-I'd love it if I could talk to the passengers and ask them more questions about themselves during the train ride. Perhaps even romance one or two damsels.. I don't understand where people are getting this "Story Line" from? There is none, other than "the world blew up, now ferry people around aimlessly"?!
