About This Content The single engine Piper Cherokee is one of the most common and standard general aviation aircraft, designed for flight training, air taxi and personal use.The first PA-28 received its type certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1960, and the series remains in production to this day. All members of the PA-28 family are all-metal, unpressurized, single-engined, piston-powered airplanes with low-mounted wings and tricycle landing gear. They all have a single door on the copilot side, which is entered by stepping on the wing. The Piper PA28 Cherokee 180F from Carenado includes a highly detailed interior and exterior model, full moving and animated rudder and flaps, light effects and also a brilliant interactive virtual cockpit. The ultra-realistic performance is based on a detailed documentation and observation of experienced Piper pilots.FeaturesExternal dynamic shadows, internal dynamic shadows on VC, normal mapping, specular mapping and bloom lightsPolygon optimized modelInteractive virtual cockpitFull moving parts, including ailerons, elevators, rudders, flaps, rolling wheels and opening doors3D modelled pilot and cockpit areaDetailing, including pitot pressure chamber, antennas, fuel tankRealistic textures and original paint designCustom panel and gaugesRealistic light effects on gaugesNightlight effects on panelSimilar behaviour comparative with the real airplaneReal weight and balance 7aa9394dea Title: FSX: Steam Edition - Piper PA28 Cherokee 180F Add-OnGenre: SimulationDeveloper:CarenadoPublisher:Dovetail Games - FlightRelease Date: 10 Mar, 2015 FSX: Steam Edition - Piper PA28 Cherokee 180F Add-On Download Bittorrent Pc I used to fly the D's back in the 70's. The plane and instruments look great, and the plane flies well in cruise. Visibility is nice. The plane is bouncy, but I have had many enjoyable flights. I just need to be very light on the stick, especially when landing. No GS. Nice pop-up GPS using F-7. Aux fuel pump is kind of noisy!. Crappy Plane. I regret buying this and wish I could refund. It's a little rough around the edges, but it's decent. Everything works as intended. Perfect for VFR and circuits. A bit overpriced for the quality, A2A Simulation's Cherokee is way better.. Nice fun airplane to fly.. The only reason I bought this was because this is the plane I'm training in. This mod is in no way worth $25. The attention to detail is terrible. The outside of the plane looks ok, but the inside is absolutely worthless compared to the other planes. It's missing instruments such as the autopilot. The planes fuel pressure does not change at any rpm or with the elec fuel pump on....unless your training in this plane, don't buy it.... It is an older Carenado Product and you are probably better off waiting until they post newer stuff. Some of the guages and dials are flat and only look half-decent at a certain angle. It flies well and sound is pretty good. It's in a catergory a little above default aircraft in terms of functionality.. The flight center I'm taking my flight lessons from uses PA28s (granted, they're the 161, not the 180), so I figured this would be pretty helpful as a personal training tool. I've been flying the things for just under 2 and a half years, and from what I can tell so far, the flight model on this is pretty faithful to the real thing. The panel layout also feels very familiar, with only a few differences (I can chalk that up to it beign a different model though). The only real problem I've noticed is that the turn coordinator tends to go a little nuts when you bank even slightly. I dip the wings into a standard rate turn, and the indicator shows the plane practically going knife-edge.Overall though, it's pretty solid, and works really well as a training tool.
